An Advisory Group of leading researchers and practitioners in the intercultural field regularly reviews the operation of the IRC and provides strategic advice on research development and impact to the IRC's Director and Executive Committee and to the University.
The Advisory Group comprises of up to five members external to Heriot-Watt, each appointed for a three-year period, and may include colleagues from within Heriot-Watt co-opted for a similar or shorter period for specific purposes. The IRC's Director is ex officio a member of the Advisory Group.
The Advisory Group meets formally twice per annum. One meeting takes place at the Edinburgh campus in the context of the IRC's AGM; the other is scheduled mid-year and may be held as video conference.
Members of the Advisory Group, individually and collectively, also provide specific advice to the Executive Committee between formal meetings.
